Rises a Phoenix.

Last night, I awoke to a great crash… As I am sure many of my neighbors did.

The bookcase separating the foyer and living room of the apartment had crashed to the ground. Miraculously, only a pair of speakers and one glass bowl were damaged… Could have been worse!

I spent most of the morning in the clean up effort and restyling the apartment. I came up with this! (No budget for new furniture after Christmas.)

I opened up the apartment and just lost the bookcases. It looks pretty good. Unfortunately, I am now one of those people with books stuffed onto every shelf and under every bed…

The holidays are wrapping up. It’s official when the moon is hanging I the sky like the Cheshire Cat’s grin, and we wonder what surprises await in the coming year…

I don’t really think that Texans go around yelling Yee-Haw…  I just like to say it, and judging by the photos of a house I just finished up in Houston, those Texans are pretty sophisticated!

I wonder if the architects of this unnamed Miami icon realized their columns look like poop… Not poop in the bad sense, mind you… Literally poop!

I’ll bet the parallel truth is that in some architectural office someone is hysterically laughing they were able to talk the poor client into doody shaped columns…
